Early retirement trend reversing?

There was a dramatic increase in early retirees from 1950 (where less than 30% of 65 yo men were retired) to 1985 (where more than 65% of 65 yo men were retired). For men, this trend seems to have evened out since 1985.

However, since 1985, the percentage of older (55+) women who still work has been increasing.

Seems like many baby boomers will keep working well into their 60s. Fine by me, long live social security!
