Glad you had a good time. Wish I’d been able to make my PS trip but, had to reschedule.

I canceled the weekend and all this week too. Next week is looking iffy too. We have been lucky this winter. I think I've been out 17 times. Mostly nine holes, but two months earlier then last year.

And I thought it was cold here.

We’ve had a cold snap the past few days but, our lows are your highs. We’re kind of weather wimps down here.

saw you on the tee sheet this weekend

I was thinking about sending Mitch your way but you guys are too nice

one of my bros, MJ, eagled #1 yesterday - must have holed out his approach shot

if I started a round like that I'd probably quit and go home

I agree, turn around and call it good after that. I think I told you that my wife made a hole in one after playing for 14 months? Shadow Valley, mishit and rolled it halfway to roll into the hole.

Golf season is still a couple months away up here, but I did receive my new Garmin S20 golf watch in the mail yesterday...

Our weather has taken a step backwards. It's around 20 this morning. Mid 40's by late afternoon.

I still use an old Garmin GPS G3, but have wanted to update and also do something for my wife. Why did you choose the S20?

I bought it was because it was on sale and because it will supposedly last 4 rounds on a charge. The old one was good for only 8 hours, so if I was playing a second round on the same day or forgot to recharge it, then the charge would sometimes run out before the end of the second round.

I don't use the majority of the functions, most of the time all I want is the distance to the green.

Thank you. Me too. I love electronic gadgets, but know that for this I simply need distance.

Yup...it's just a gadget, but I like gadgets too.

Funny story...when I first got it, one of my golfing friends thought it was "cheating". That lasted 6 holes and then he drove onto the next fairway and needed a distance

Not raining today, but too soggy to play. Maybe tomorrow.

I use a ‘Bushnell Neo Ion’ & love it. It’s much better than my old Garmin S3.

Bushnell lasts 3+ rounds as advertised, has plenty of hazard info, and the watch seems to wear well (after 1+ yrs use). Excellent for $150.

Looks like a fine product. Wondering how to find their course library without an account. Crane Creek Country Club in Boise, ID just updated their back nine last year. Garmin is up to date. Golf Buddy is more then two years behind. Wondering about Bushnell.

The only issue I've had with courses are a couple that recently switched their 9's around...the watch still works, but hole #1 reads as #10.

How would the GPS manufacturers know about the changes if the course never advises them?

they don't - one reason I stopped using skygolf, plus they have an annual fee

I started using an izzo swami after I fired skygolf. I worked well until they redid our back 9. After that I took the plunge and got one of these for $250 from our proshop, which was free due to all my shop credit won with stellar play (and a well managed handicap)

The pro at our shop does let the manufacturers know. Our back nine remodel included a new driving range that wiped out hole 10. Remodeled 12 & 13 and brand new 14 & 15 up a new canyon. It took awhile for Garmin to catch up. Some sites you can find if they have updated their database with a new date. I see that many manufacturers use IGolf's database.

I use a Golf Buddy Voice 2. Very accurate.
