Congratulations! Everyone says that time passes SO FAST. Why doesn't that seem true when you get within a couple of months of retiring??j

We are nearly identical work history. I started at my first bank job at 16. 4 different financial institutions, and 38 years later fully retired at 54. Last 3 years was as a part-time employee, in order to ease into retirement.

Started working at the bank when I was 16 and in high school. Worked full time during my 7 years of college (night school). 29 years at several mega-corps and 7 years part time after semi retiring at 50. So, somewhere around 36 years full time.
