He's no different from a lot of guys in their 60s that I see around town with women 15-20 years younger. It's just that this old guy didn't have the looks, money, etc. to attract a young date. He had to pay. I'm sure he had a good time while it lasted, just like all the others.

The other side of this deal is shown by an incident I observed. Riding home from the airport in the shuttle, a young (40ish) babe got on with her oldish companion/husband. Then she sat him down in the front and went to the back, then proceeded to be annoyed with him for needing help with his seatbelt. "He needs help, would someone please do the seat belt!" she said in a very exasperated tone.

The guy had clearly some physical problems that weren't obvious. Maybe a stroke? The young companion had clearly had enough. So it goes. You make your choices and you live with them.
