Louisville, KY lodging

I'm going to be in the Louisville area in mid July on my motorcycle and am looking for a good place to stay. My first choice would be a better than average Mom & Pop Motel (park in front of room) that has easy access to the interstate. However I will consider other recommendations. Thanks.

You'll get a better deal across the river in New Albany or Jeffersonville, Ind. along I-65.

I was there last year in June and we stayed downtown at the Hampton Inn. It was fairly new. We used hilton points for the stay and I remember thinking its only 10K points a night for a property this nice. Easy access on and off interstate from what I remember.
