Ukiah is beautiful, however, unless they've been hit recently with the foreclosure house value droppage, real estate is expensive. My aunt and uncle lived there for 15 years before moving to Whidbey Island, WA. They made a killing on the house they had in Ukiah.

I remember my uncle talking about crime on the reservation due to 'fighting' over the proceeds of gambling. Many of the smaller tribes in CA have built casinos so people can get their gambling fix without driving to Reno or flying to Las Vegas.

I consider the weather fine to chilly, but then I grew up in AZ :-)
