So I have been home from Norway a couple weeks and have been able to do some Photoshopping. This is one of my favorite views from a hike up Offersoykammen in the Lofoten islands.

Nice shot, Dr. Roy. Before reading your post, I thought the photo was from a plane. That must have been an awesome hike!

Kewl! Have taken lots of optical and electron microscope pics over the years, mostly of semiconductor pieces-parts. Left them all at w*rk, where they belong...

Atlanta Marriott Marquis. Shooting there took a toll on my neck. It was worth it.

We spent a week at a beautiful beach house in Gulf Shores, Alabama in mid-October. We were treated to a near-constant stream of migrating Monarchs slowly making their way south along the beach. Very interesting! Those critters had a long trip in front of them.

Bought my first camera last year, and recently invested in a macro lens... it's opened up a whole new world I never thought to explore. Was hiking a trail at Shenandoah National Forest earlier this fall - nothing special about this mushroom, but I loved the scene that was created when I got down on its level.

Nice macro of a mushroom. You exhibited 2 important things with this shot: Getting down to eye level, and blurring your background (bokeh)
Nice exposure too.
