We camped along the American river and dipped in the pool formed below this hard ridge of bedrock, this long weekend.

Since this is Bastile Day, here is one of my favorite photos from Paris, shot in 2008.

This is a Green Sea Turtle on the north shore of St. John, USVI. One of our friends travelling with us took this shot with an inexpensive camera and caught really nice reflections on the surface. This turtles shell was over 2.5 feet long

Saw this today and had to snap a picture. Mature lady probably in her 70’s, rocking the tie dye shirt and driving the old VW. Living her best life. She was in front of me at the store and I noticed she was buying canning equipment. You go girl!

A B&W rendering of a photo of one of my barn art installments. An Edison bulb fixture I made, protruding through an old panel door.

Ah, a flat windshield Super Beetle. It's a 1971 or 1972. The first year of the SB (1971) came with the earlier windshield and older, straight dash. It looks to be in nice condition.

I sold my 1971 SB two years ago. Dangerous car in today's driving environment.

I just finished this tutorial on close up bird photography using a Wifi link from the camera to a smartphone with the camera control app. I got some pretty good results while shooting hummingbirds. This approach allows you to get nice close-up shots with just about any lens while you control the camera from 25 feet away.
