To Successful ER's...what were the 6 issues you focused on in the 6 mos prior to ER?

Besides all the things posted here, I spent the last six months making a life list. Everytime I thought of something I might want to do I wrote it in a little notebook. Where I wanted to travel, volunteer opportunities I wanted to explore, expanding my garden etc. I had a page of books I had wanted to read from lists posted here and on other forum pages.
The dreaming helped me get through the baloney that I had to put up with and really helped my attitude.
Six months later, I have rarely consulted the list but have done a few things (like join a pottery studio, great fun), it was more an exercise to help me wade through the garbage I was putting up with.

Working is more than a paycheck it friends/enemies, social interaction, a label you wear, something to talk/brag curse about, a great time waster, work is also a box we put our selves into, crawl out of that box and there is a whole world to explore.

Sounds like early retirement forums!
