Just heard a story on CBC news about drug and gang related violence in Acapulco. Several hundred murders in the past year. OTOH, they interviewed a tourist who was having a wonderful time at her resort. So enjoy, but be careful.

One of my cow-orkers went down there. Her complaint was that there were too many Mexicans there. She amended this to say that there were too many people there.

Reminds me of the couple from Houston that I met on a tour of South America. We stayed in a rustic lodge in a beautiful area of lakes and mountains in the southern Andes. They complained bitterly that it wasn't like the Hilton at home!
