We've made new friends in retirement from joining retirement / senior clubs and walking the dog around the neighborhood every day. If we move from where we are at it would likely be to move to a retirement village with a low maintenance dwelling, lots of clubs and activities and probably closer to family. I'm not super involved in most of the current clubs, but they are good places for drop in activities, a place to socialize and it is nice to now they are there if I need something to do.

Where we are at is home because we enjoy living here - mild climate most of the year, pretty scenery and lots of cultural and outdoor activities.

For me its the sound of the neighborhood kids yelling and playing. I also like going to get breakfast at this dive diner frequented by locals only.
