We've made new friends in retirement from joining retirement / senior clubs and walking the dog around the neighborhood every day. If we move from where we are at it would likely be to move to a retirement village with a low maintenance dwelling, lots of clubs and activities and probably closer to family. I'm not super involved in most of the current clubs, but they are good places for drop in activities, a place to socialize and it is nice to now they are there if I need something to do.
Where we are at is home because we enjoy living here - mild climate most of the year, pretty scenery and lots of cultural and outdoor activities.
Even clouds seem bright and breezy, 'Cause the livin' is free and easy, See the rat race in a new way, Like you're wakin' up to a new day (Dr. Tarr and Professor Fether lyrics, Alan Parsons Project, based on an EA Poe story)
