I'm sure that some of this has been asked before, but I'd love to know more about those that post here.....nothing as personal as another thread here wanting to know net worth, etc. - please feel free to elaborate at any point (like I needed to say that !)

#1 - Are you retired yet? (from what field or occuaption?)...semi-retired? (if so - working part time? ...what are you doing?)

#2 - Your age now?....age at retirement?

#3 - Married? Single? Children?

#4 - Where did you grow up?....where do you live now? (...as I have a brother whose home is his Bluebird (travel bus), where do you "full timers" spend most of your time?)

#5 - How often do you visit this board?

I am hoping that your responses will help a "newbie" like myself to get to know each of you. Thank you in advance for your participation!

I guess that it is only right that I should go 1st - ​

#1 - semi-retired accountant who will intends to work during tax season for the next three tax seasons (at least)

#2 - 52

#3 - married with a 14 y/o Angel (so far )

#4 - born and raised in eastern Virginia....and a home body by nature.

#5 - 10-12+ times a day ....but remember - I'm a "newbie" and I still NEED to learn from you guys!!

1. Not retired yet from great job working with veterans (2020 or 2025) - that decision to be made @ 50 - reduced pension w/ medical bennies or better pension @ 55 with medical bennies.

Grew up in rural northern Minnesota and still live in northern Minnesota. Selling our place and looking to move down south to Mpls/St. Paul. (Yesterday it was 37 degrees here when it was 59 in St. Paul)

A lot. Once in a while I take a break, but otherwise I visit here every day.

1. Aerospace engineer - layed off jan 1993, no idea exact date of mental shift to retired status.
2. Age 64 this summer. 49 in 1993.
3. Single, same girlfriend for 29 years, then she passed away 2005, no kids.
4. Born and raised 1st 26 years in Western Washington - go Huskies. Then Denver, Huntsville, AL, New Orleans and now greater Kansas City on a hill.
5. Perhaps too much - could be in need of a twelve step program.

#3 - Divorced, no desire to ever re-marry or live with anyone. Frank and I have been close for several years. One daughter, self supporting and living in a western state.

#4 - Born in St. Louis, grew up in Kailua, Hawaii, have lived my adult life in Texas, California, Virginia, and Mississippi, and have been living in New Orleans for the past 11 years.
