My employer uses Principal for our 401(k) program. Their little online "quiz" suggested an allocation of 50% in Large US Equity funds, 25% in Small/Mid US Equity, and 25% in International Equity. My fund choices are:

Large U.S. Equity: 50.00% of your contributions to match the Profile

Capital Research and Mgmt Co
American Funds Growth Fund of America R4 Fund %
Fidelity Management & Research
Fidelity Advisor Equity Growth Instl Fund %
Lord Abbett & Co, LLC
Lord Abbett All Value A Fund %
Principal Global Investors
LargeCap S&P 500 Index Separate Account %
Vanguard Group
Vanguard Growth&Income Fund

Small/Mid U.S. Equity: 25.00% of your contributions to match the Profile

American Century Inv. Mgmt.
American Century Small Cap Value Inv Fund %
Fidelity Management & Research
Fidelity Advisor Mid Cap I Fund %
Goldman Sachs/LA Capital Mgmt
MidCap Value I Separate Account %
Neuberger Berman Mgmt. Inc.
Neuberger Berman Genesis Tr Fund %
Principal Global Investors
SmallCap Blend Separate Account %
Turner/Mellon Capital Mgmt
MidCap Growth III Separate Account %
Vanguard Group
Vanguard Explorer Fund %

International Equity: 25.00% of your contributions to match the Profile

Principal Global Investors
Diversified International Separate Account %
Principal Global Investors/DFA
International SmallCap Separate Account %
The Dreyfus Corporation
LargeCap S&P 500 Index Separate Account %

I'm tempted to put 25% each in Vanguard Growth&Income Fund, Vanguard Explorer Fund, Principal LargeCap S&P 500 Index Separate Account, and LargeCap S&P 500 Index Separate Account So far, I've picked them because of their lower loads. I'm just curious what other people think of the various choices available to me.
