Example of the "Millionaire Next Door"

Sounds more like an example of being penny-wise and pound-foolish.

Interesting story, hope he has better luck finding a handy man than we do.
If all else fails, maybe this could be the next Gitmo

I smell a tourist trap on the horizon. Man - they screwed the Seattle waterfront/Pike's Place - used to be fun after midnight down there in the early 60's. Fell's Point Baltimore(early 70's), Silver City, NV 50's??) - I wonder how Ryderwood, WA is doing.

Any news on Uravan,CO or Eagle Rock(not mountain) CA - heh. heh, heh - my sister is married to a mining engineer.

Alamo, NV - :confused::confused::confused:

Nothing like the tourist/vacation dollar to screw up delightfully seedy.

I have heard that a lot of Californians are buying up vacations spots in Canada. I would think it would be a good investment. I was actually more interested in the guy since he is an immigrant and lives way below his means and is a "value investor" and not worrying about how everybody is making money flipping properties.

I would like to buy an island someday :)

That ghost town does look pretty though
