Hello! I am in my 40s and I am looking to semi-retire or flat out retire within the next 4 years. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good retirement planning book or guide? Something that helps you plan when to pull money from your investments and also with a very detailed section on the ins and outs of the current social security system?

I would suggest it might be more important to find a book on how to invest and how to structure your investment types (401(k), tIRAs, Roths, taxable, etc.)

I don't have a good book in mind, but it should help you plan for taxes.

As far as SS? I'd not worry too much about it. Structure your savings/investment to create your own income and let SS be gravy later on. Just my 2 cents worth.
