Ads Above the "Recent Threads" Box

I have logged out and in a couple of times to attempt to get rid of the ad box resting above the "Recent Threads" box. It remains, taunting me...

Is this something I can kill off? Or is this the new normal?

Your advice appreciated.

The forum recently changed ad providers, and while we have no control over the ads served to users, they should generally be of higher quality. There may be some other small differences.

You should also see fewer ads while logged in (than if not logged in).

And you can always look into an Ad Blocker. I use one and while I'm aware the ads are changed, it's only from being told, vs. actually seeing them!
