Ads blocking search box

I may be doing something wrong, but I can't type a search in. I click search on the bar at the top of the screen, the box appears but the portion to type in the search term is covered by an ad. All I can see is the bottom of the box, not the bar to type in the search term or the type of search selection. Any guidance?

I tried it. No problem.

I have Adblock Plus add-on for Firefox, though. It says it blocked 5 out of 79 items on this page.

Go to Tools on the top line, Add-ons, Get Add-ons and search for Adblock Plus.

I have no special ad-blocking software activated -- some pop-up stoppers are in use, however.

Thanks Ed, that worked. Now I get the search box without an ad in front of it.
