another question/problem

i just noticed that i had 330 emails in the email account i used when i signed up here! so i went into cp then edit options and where it said the following (see below) i changed the mode to no email notification. after i did that i just received another email!

does it take time for this to take effect? do i have to log out and back in? i really don't need an email sent to that account every time i there are posts in threads i posted in or created.

Default Thread Subscription Mode When you post a new thread, or reply to a topic, you can choose to automatically add that thread to your list of subscribed threads, with the option to receive email notification of new replies to that thread. Do not subscribe No email notification Instant email notification Daily email notification Weekly email notification Default Thread Subscription Mode: no email notification

i just saw an option to not receive email notification in a thread i just posted in. does this mean i have to tic this off in every post i make or is there a global way to do it?

You need to check under "List Subscriptions" option and clear out all your threads. This will stop any active subscriptions you're on.

so it says i have 107. there is no way to select all on each page which would still require me to do several pages. does this mean i have to do each one individually?

seems to me there must be a simple way to tell the system to not notify me when i post in a thread?

User CP > Edit Options > scroll to Default Subscription Mode > select Do Not Subscribe > scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.
