Board is freezing my browser

For several weeks on my work computer only (IE, Windows 2000), if I try to reply to a message and spend more than about 30 seconds doing it, my browser will freeze and not respond to clicks or keys. After about 5 minutes, it relaxes and all is normal. It almost feels like it is "hanging" while the bulletin board software is doing something.

No problem from my home Mac. I can read messages with no problems. If I pre-write a reply in a text processor, then paste it in to a BBS reply and post it very quickly it usually works.

Anyone else have this? Ideas? Don't recall any new applications to my PC when this came on.

BTW, my message counter is screwed up, too - per another post elsewhere. Not a big deal.
