Can't see Threads Using Firefox

Recently I can no longer drill into any of the forum's threads using the Firefox browser. All I can see is the Early Retirement home page. I still can drill in using an old version of Internet Explorer, which I am using now to post this thread. I turned off blocking cookies but it didn't seem to do anything. Any suggestions on what setting I need to change in Firefox to be able to drill into the threads again?

What does “drill into a page” mean? If you mean open a thread and read / post, I’ve had a similar issue in the past. What worked for me was to log out of the forum, clear cache, history and cookies, reboot the computer, and log back in again.

I use Firefox almost always when viewing this board. No problems. I even have AdBlocker and Ghostery running. Maybe you do too, and haven't enabled something you need. When I have such a problem, I temporarily enable them one at a time until I enable the one I find I need.

Yup. Exactly the same config and no problems at all.

Try cutting your computer totally off and and then cutting it back on. I had a similar problem and solved it by rebooting my computer.

I think this is the solution. Click on the lock with the red line through it in the address bar, then choose "Clear cookies and site data". You'll have to log back in, but everything should be the same after you do.

I tried that but it didn't help. I tried changing some of the permissions but it only helped for one thread and then it was back to the error message. I think it has something to do with the lock with the red line in it. It says the connection is not secure. Has something changed recently with the website?

New information: You didn't mention an error message earlier, so what exactly does it say?

I have no issues with Firefox and this site. I also have the lock, red line through it, and a mouse hover reveals "Connection is not secure".

I am seeing that with *a lot* of websites I visit with Firefox. Not a warm fuzzy, to be sure.

EDIT: Much of the website allows for "https://" addresses, but not the forums, at least for me.

Curious error. All I am getting is the "Connection is not secure" message (red-lined lock on Firefox's address bar) when in the forums subdirectory on ER. The main webpage for ER doesn't have this error. I am also using the "HTTPS Everywhere"' addon, and it doesn't help with the forums site here. According to Mozilla, this is likely the result of an improper error within ER's forum software.

Are you using the DuckDuckGo "privacy essentials" browser extension? I had issues with it on E-R.org and had to disable it.

I added the sight to the DuckDuckGo whitelist and it seems to have fixed this issue for me.

I haven't added any add-ons that I know of.
Is there a place to check?

Nothing is listed. It just lists some I can add.
Does that mean I don't have any?
Did anything change recently to the Early Retirement site?
