Completely missed messages with thank yous!

To the dozen or so people who sent me short messages with thank yous for my posts on the site for the past four years, I apologize for not seeing them until this morning!

I don't think that many (if any) people who send thanks, have an expectation of a reply, so I'd say you're fine!

Still, the OP needs to be aware of the thanks he has been collecting.

Merit raises and bonuses handed out are based on these.

PS. He said "a dozen" over 4 years. That's not much. He needs to post more.

I always reply as a courtesy. Maybe I am an exception?

Maybe. Maybe not! I reply to some thank you's, but not all. I consider each one on an individual basis, but they are always good to receive.

Now, now, no thanks-shaming! A dozen thank-you's is better than a sharp stick in the eye!

I doubt that I have gotten any but I don't see where you would find them.

Yes. In my early years, I missed the thanks too, until I accidentally clicked this button.

also learned something new, I had NINE ....

I don't think it should require a reply back of your welcome, unless you wanted to give or get more info.

Of course, I was teasing.

You do not have to reply, unless the message asks a question.

The thing to do is to pay forward. I have learned to use the button to give positive feedback to people who provide good info.
