How would I 'uncontain' the containment area?

You mean un-ignore, as in you previously put the covid-sub on ignore and now want back in? If so, someone smarter than me will be along to tell you (as a mod I can't put stuff on ignore, so I can't see how to take it off!)

Thank you Janet. I do see the option now, right at the bottom of the user control panel. I thought I'd looked through all the options, but obviously not!

I have the opposite issue I suppose. I tried to ignore the entire covid containment area but I still see it every time I look at the forum.
Is there a way to kill -term this forum?

Just glance over it and focus on the other forums. No big deal.

I suppose it isn't a big deal to the echo chamber.

I turned off the containment area very early on (as soon as it was created). Not due to lack of interest but I guessed what the topic might generate. That has worked very well. Almost all my visits to e-r.org are through the iOS app, not a browser.
