Edit ability not available?

I'm a good speller, but terrible typist. I often spot typos after I've posted something and edit them. I just noticed a typo in a recent post, but can't edit. Is edit function no longer available?

Certainly hope not. As I make misteaks mistakes all the time and find myself having to do edits during the edit window of opportunity.

Test reply. I think edit function reappeared.

Yep, edit is back. As Roseann Rosannadanna would say, "Never mind."

There is a time limit on the edit function. After X minutes, hours, or ?, you can no longer edit.

That is also my recollection.

PS

I'll move this thread to Forum Admin as it is a good question on the mechanics of using the site.
