Help posting photos

Having read through an ancient FAQ thread here on how to post photos, I'm still befuddled. It mentioned photobucket, which doesn't appear to be free these days as it apparently was in years past. I have Amazon, iCloud and Google photos; can they be made to host publicly available images that can be linked here?

Help?

1. Save the photo to your local drive.
2. When you are creating your post, after typing in the text, then choose the button for Manage Attachments
3. Click the Browse buttons to locate/select the individual photos
4. Click the Upload button
5. Click Close this window in the top right corner
6. Click the Submit button

After you upload the photo(s) from your local drive, you can delete them.

Alternatively, if you have a public accessible link to the photos, just click the photo widget from the message post toolbar and enter the link in the popup you get.

^ if I may add, do the process in "Go Advanced" as an option on quick reply posting form.

You can place a photo in your Public Share folder in Google Drive. Then copy the link and post it here.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AX0...ew?usp=sharing

But there is no preview with that link method until you click it, so I usually upload the image from my computer as an attachment to the message instead. See below.

And here is the tricky method, which transforms the Google Drive sharing link into something the insert image (IMG) tag in the editor can understand.

You do this by modifying the Google share link as follows.
Code:
Change:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1AX0P7Wvfem956GwDRNq75h_BLNbwh477/view?usp=sharing

to :
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id=1AX0P7Wvfem956GwDRNq75h_BLNbwh477

Thank you! I searched the forum and came up with this VERY old, and outdated, thread.

Should have looked more closely at the pinned threads. And for some reason I never noticed the paperclip icon at the top of the reply window.
