Question about Replies and Threads

1. Is there a way to get/receive some kind of 'alert/notice'' when a new reply has been added to a thread I've started?

2. Is there a way to get/receive some kind of 'alert/notice' when someone replies to one of my replies on a thread someone else has started?

Thanks for any info you can provide.

1. Yes
2. Yes

Click User CP in the green strip at the top and check to see if you have those options checked. You might want to also check your spam folder in your email to see if the notifications are not there already.

To expand on what kcinnick helpfully pointed out:

Once you click on User CP, look at the left hand column and click on "edit options" under the subhead "settings and options".

Then, go down to the "messaging and notifications" pane (the second one down) and look for "default thread subscription mode".

Use the pull down menu to select the frequency of notification.
