Site Upgrade

We will be performing upgrades to all sites on the Social Knowledge network on Wed. December 3rd on or around 9pm - 2am EST. Providing the upgrades go well, we should be able to update all of the sites, but it is reasonable to expect the forums to be closed for a bit while we perform the upgrade on this site.

C'mon, guys, how about a slightly technical overview of what's being done and what we can expect to encounter upon our return. "Upgrades" are a sore spot with many on this board.

We are upgrading the forum software. In general this goes pretty smooth, but just when you get used to that, something rough can happen. Odds are in our favor that we will only have to be closed here for a minute or two as we upgrade, but like I said, anything can happen.

Most of the changes involve bug/security fixes to the software and very few, if any new features are added.

On average, these updates are released about every month or so. Most of the time, you never even notice them here.
