Firefox and Thunderbird (Email) has a pretty good one built in -- to be completely redundant.

I don't know where it came from, but SOMETHING draws little doted red lines under my misspelled words in the Message box these days. It sure helps me!
Firefox? don't think so in my case. It started showing up after the Big Forum Software Upgrade.

Ed, the red dotted line under misspelled words is a signature Firefox feature. Do you not use Firefox? Or are you using Firefox but just spelled everything OK prior to the software upgrade?

Now I'll have to re-download Firefox. IE is just too annoying.

I have been trying two browsers. Orca and Avant. The spell checker for IE works on these. The Orca browser seems very fast. I think I got them both on Free Software Downloads and Software Reviews - Download.com

Kumquat, check Tools > Options > Advanced, General tab, and see if "Check my spelling as I type" is checked.

Thanks Coach, but that was checked.
The problem got me interested. If any of you were having my problem, solution is go to Mozilla website and download the appropriate dictionary.
Interesting, 'Mozilla' is flagged as an error:confused:
