Unsubscribe from a thread working?

I like the email notification feature. Sometimes I want to unsubscribe from the email notification for a particular thread generally because it's clogging up my email. When I did this by clicking on the link after the phrase "To unsubscribe from this thread, please visit this page" what I see is a window that states:

An invalid threadid or forumid was specified.

I'm not sure whether this is an artifact of a working feature or that this feature is broken. Anyone know if this is a real problem? Hopefully I'm posting this in the right place.

I think things are OK with the feature. I believe I was right clicking the URL to bring up in a new tab (Internet Explorer) and the feature works best if you just click on the URL to unsubscribe from a thread.
