URL Shown Instead of Title

Until recently, when I'd post a URL, like this:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7080440/

It replaced the URL with the title from that page, like this

Exercise more, eat more? - Smart Fitness

That was a nice feature. Has it been eliminated, or am I remembering wrong?

Is it related to whether the linked page has a <title></title> tag in the <header> section of its HTML?

Thanks for the post. I hadn't noticed and it's a good feature. We'll try to get it fixed.

I found today that it works when in Advanced mode, but not in quick reply mode.

This is using the quick reply:

MIT Chemistry: Daniel G. Nocera

Well oops, I take it back. But it does seem to work sometimes and not others.

Any news on this? It was a really handy feature and its still busted.

I just referenced an old thread here and got a bunch of url stuff instead of the thread title, like used to happen.

I know Janet is working on it. One big problem is with the FAQs which now look in some cases like a random collection of posts.
