He really is awesome. Good story.

Today I'm attending a birthday party for my original boss at my last job. He's 100! When he hired me he said he was going to work 2 more years and that was it. He had the reputation for being a hard ass boss so I thought I could handle 2 years. Eight years later he finally retired. He was actually nice to me but he made it tough as he was always running off employees. I spent half my time hiring and training new people. But after a day of being a scrooge type in the office, as soon as he walked out the door he would whistle while walking to his car. I guess his secret to longevity was blow off steam during the day and put it behind him.
