Anybody own a BMI bluetooth weight scale?
Does anyone own one of those smart scales that supposedly send electrical signals through your body to measure your BMI and different kinds of fat, your hydration level, etc?
How do you like it?
I see a lot on the market now, but some people mentioned that those scales could shutter for no reason all of a sudden, so I was kind of hesitant. My DH and I are Fitbit users, so I'm considering getting the scale that can sync data with Fitbit.

I have a Greater Goods scale- Model 375 so it's older. Very happy with it. I just got a FitBit Luxe and it works well with that.
My only complaint is that occasionally it stops syncing with the app and I have to get on the app and go through the process of adding "another" scale. This happens maybe every couple of months or so.

I have the withings. The shatter thing is because tempered glass can't hit on the sides. So if you bang it up against something...yeah that could happen but I'm careful enough.
The only thing I don't like it is approximates water as a percent of fat/muscle...so if you are feeling like maybe you're bloated it won't really tell you "ah yes that extra 1.5 lbs is water weight"...
Also, if you're like me, you don't want to get on a tracking scale that's going to record you when you know you have that extra 1.5 lbs on you that day, which kind of defeats the purpose!

I have days like that when I come back from visiting family for a few days, when I greatly relax my diet. I either don't weigh myself at all for a day or two or I jump on and off so quickly it doesn't get recorded but I can still see the damage.

We had version 1 of the Fitbit Aria scale so that we could synch with out Fitbits. It crapped out soon after the warranty expired and I read all the self help forums at Fitbit. Lots of steps take out battery reset again and again. There were a lot of us. Basically sol, no repair options even paid and not even a coupon for a discount on the new and improved version. Now we have a RENPO. Less money, synchs to Google Fit. I am less of a fan of fitbit now

Just got a Wyze Scale S - has a lot of measurements and trends - you can see them in the app and you can link the app to Apple Health.
Not much change in the past 2 weeks - looking forward to trends over a year.

Thanks for all the posts!
I'm not that careful, plus we have clumsy cats running around all the time, so maybe we should keep the scale in a box when not in use or cover it with a towel... (I don't want it to shatter and glass pieces going everywhere!) It sounds like Fitbit Aria has some issues, plus I read that it doesn't do much (You need to input info manually for the BMI calculation for example.) so I won't be getting that although we have Fitbit trackers.
Yeah, I'm sure I won't want to weigh myself when I know I indulged too much!
I think I will get an entry-level model that has good reviews that can synch with Fitbit and see how it goes.
Thanks!

My Greater Goods scale is pretty durable- can't imagine cats damaging it. My granddaughters like to weigh themselves on it multiple times when they visit because they like to see the numbers light up and I've had mine for over 4 years. Other brands may be more fragile.
I think most scales will require you to initially input info for BMI- mine did, but since BMI is a function of height, it needs to know that. It also needs to be able to distinguish between multiple users, which it can do if their weights aren't too close together, once the initial settings are established.

We purchased the Withings a couple of months ago. It syncs to the Fitbit app (as well as many others). We keep it in the bathroom and haven't had issues with bumping it.
It seems accurate and can tell the difference in multiple users.
We like it and consider it a good upgrade from our old basic scale.

I got an Etekcity scale that's supposed to measure all of that. Most of the time it tells me it can't, and asks me if I want to try again or save the weight. All I wanted was a digital scale and saving the weight on its app is a good bonus.

I don't know how often this happens, maybe it's quite rare, but it seems that the BMI glass scales can shatter/explode all of a sudden. Someone has posted some photos on Amazon for one of Greater Goods scales as well. I don't know what to think of this, but some people think some kind of temperature variations could cause this, but hopefully, this is a very very rare occurrence.
The bottom of the page has some photos.
