Has anyone here been perscribed bempedoic acid (Nexletol) for cholesterol med instead of statins?

Interested since I'm not wanting to go on statins (was on short period before). Spouse was on statins for only one month and got PERMANENT neuropathy in that timeframe (immediately quit at onset, but even that was too late). Bempedoic acid, while supposedly not as effective, doesn't have the neuropathy/muscle issues that statins have and I don't want to have to live with the changes spouse has had to live with (which I won't go into).

How effective? 30-40% reduction? or better?

any noticeable side effects or non-tolerance for the drug?
