Blue Cross TraditionPLUS Hospital Program

Anyone familiar with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield's TraditionPLUS Hospital Program? It appears to be a limted HI policy which covers most hospital bills but not much more. Because that is where you can get clobbered if you become sick, it looks a lot like a catastrophic care policy. In New York (my home state), it costs about $181 a month, about $500 less per month than I am paying for my individual HI policy. So if switch to this and end up with less than $6,000 of otherwise covered health costs per year, I will be ahead.

Looks like a good idea for me, a healthy, single man, to switch to it. Thoughts?
