I've been trying to get as close to an actual quote as I can for HD health insurance for my wife and I. We are still 2.5 years from pulling the trigger but I am trying to get as accurate a plan as I can.
We currently live in Arizona but will move to Hawaii (Big Island) at that time. The quotes I get for Arizona from online sites are reasonable but in terms of price and in terms of consistency with what I know people are actually paying here. But when I try to get quotes for Hawaii from any of the sites I tried they say that nothing is available - no plans offered there.
Now, I'm familiar with the paradise tax and that Hawaii is sort of a third world country because we already spend a lot of time there. But I can't believe there are no HDHPs offered there. I know there are several people on this forum who live in Hawaii. Can you tell me if there is anything unusual about Hawaii when it comes to HDHPs?
