HSA answer for Lemming

Sorry to post this here but Lemming asked me a question about an HSA in another thread which has been closed and he isn't signed up for PM. So hopefully, you get this.

Since I retired prior to qualifying for medicare and have a HDHP I still qualify for an HSA.

I had been trying to get a definitive answer regarding distributions and how long you can delay in taking them from your HSA.

The IRS pub did not address the question and I have read contradictory info on the net.

Found an answer here that sounds documented on this site. Namely, that you can delay drawing money for qualified expenses as many years as you want as long as you keep your documentation to show that you qualified for the HSA and for the expenses.
