I join medicare in November. Daily I have began receiving offers from medical organizations (I even received one from a Canadian drug co) wanting my signature and my money. They will get neither.

I am always polite enough to respond to their inquiry by returning their postage paid envelope and "No Thanks I'm only 47" written on the return portion. I believe that they will have to pay about $1 to obtain my response.

What are they wanting to sell you? Medi-gap policies? Mail order drugs?

So, what's the deal with what you'll need coverage wise Mickeyd? I'm about 4 1/2 years away and have no idea what's needed for the correct coverage. I haven't been looking into it since it all may change in the next few years but I'd like to know what the deal is.
