Stayed the same. BUT,,, I see a big difference in body make up. Added a hole in my belt this week. Also ran my first 10k (in the gym, but hey I made it).

re: It's Wednesday weigh ins! 2007-2022

Well, this week I gained 1 pound, back to 132.

I know it's not muscle this week, LOL. We moved this past week from Virginia to Mississippi. With no kitchen for several days, and the stress of packing/unpacking, I totally lost all self control and ate like crazy (take-out, etc.). I didn't exercise either. Considering all of this, I should be happy it was only a 1# gain!

Getting back on the diet today and likely will start working out again tomorrow.

Girl, you gotta know when it is just impossible to diet! Moving or remodeling is a big one--I bet you didn't gain much 'cause you were moving heavy boxes around!

Hi! Yet another week with no weight loss but I liked the measuring tape idea - I have lost inches and I feel much better. My friend I've been working out with has lost a gazillion pounds and several dress sizes. Am happy for her, but I don't like getting weighed in every week by the trainer at the gym. My husband says he can tell a difference, so I guess that's a good thing... There is always next week!!!

Oh yeah, for sure! I got even more of a workout when our movers (unload help) did not show up in MS (we were told the guy had a mild heart attack). Uh, me and DH unloaded the entire 24' truck ourselves. There's a pound or two there that I fought off!

We rewarded ourselves with several nice cold brewskies after that!

SolidA, take heart in those taped measurements, not the scales. Somewhere way back in this thread I related how the MetLife charts and BMI have never worked out right on me. And as cliche as it sounds, it really is because I have such large bones, and I am barrel-chested. At 210 lbs I had a 48 " chest, average for guys is something like 42". Those things are based upon statistical averages, just like life expectancy charts. Now you aren't going to go have yourself euthanized when you exceed their statistical average, right? So why get hung up on the h/w charts. As long as the tape shows improvement, DH is happy, and you get down to the dress size YOU feel is appropriate for you, who cares what the scale says. You're doing great girl!

Down to 168 this week, just in time for the DH's HS reunion Saturday. He's back at the same weight as me, too. I still won't look like a trophy wife, but at least I'm always 8 years younger than all those girls he went to school with!

BOP, you need to splurge on more than your uniform pants when you get to 300--buying clothes is now a huge motivation for me--and I usually HATE buying clothes! Keep it up folks, we are getting smaller!

189, down two pounds in the first weigh-in since 14 Feb.

Pretty surprising considering how many Tex-Mex joints I snorkeled through during our San Antonio trip. OTOH we've spent the last three mornings catching up on our rental's badly-neglected yardwork, and my knee is healed enough to get me back to tae kwon do workouts.

A rebound week. Up 1 lb to 330. Missed two days at the gym, and was VERY bad on the diet. Time to refocus.

Missed going to gym a couple times this week and ate out a couple too many times as well.

Back to it this week.

Hey all,

Mind if I join your fat losers club ?
(that's from an old episode of 3rd rock)

I started dieting on 12/29 and have lost 24#. Only 65# to go.

A few weeks ago I hit a plateau and was cold all the time. A little exercise over the past few days is helping. I like inline skating and am putting in around 30 minutes per day on the local streets. Not too intense, just enough to work up a good sweat. No broken bones yet

Welcome to the fat losers club, Dry Socks!
I really liked inline skating when we lived at the beach, but out here in the country it doesn't work well on the dirt roads! I think it is great exercise, and fun to be outside. Congrats on your big losses so far and good luck!

I am another pound down, to 167. The party was great--ate a million calories but got a lot of "WOW, y'all look great" (one girl told me that they unofficially voted Donald as the youngest-looking guy there!) We are trying out something called HIIT (high intensity interval training) and I downloaded a 1 hr mp3 from CardioCoach.com to use. I have done it twice on the Arc trainer at the gym and it is a killer--like 640 calories burned in 48 minutes! You adjust your own intensity and do sprints of harder work with periods of rest. Supposedly this is better than just staying at one pace, and I have to agree!

St. Patrick's is coming, though, and we just went and bought a case of Guinness, case of Harps, case of Killians, big bottle of Bailey's and a big bottle of Tullamore Dew whisky. Big Green Party at our house Saturday with all the Irish food and drink! No calorie counting this weekend

Down another pound to 130...can't wait til I break into the 120's again! It's been quite a while since I've been in the 120's. I'm now down 5# over an 8 week time period. It's slow, but I'm getting there. Half way to my goal (125#)!!!

Welcome to the fat loser's club Dry Socks!

Oh boy, sounds like you are in for a crazy party weekend Sarah!

Still 213 lbs. of pure pain.

Dropped a few, then gained it back.

Start of the "exercise season" is upon us. That should help shave the pounds.
