Gained 4 lbs since the last time I reported. Up to 208 lbs, but on the positive side gaining strength, cardio conditioning and endurance.

Went backpacking this weekend with daughters up near the top of the Sierra Nevada mtns at 7,000 ft. Had no problem rucking 40 lbs of gear up and down a few ridges for 10 miles on Saturday and back on Sunday. That would have never happened last year when I was 250 lbs!

183.8. Down 2 in the last few weeks even with 10 days of pigging out and drinking beer through Alaska. 3.8 lbs to go.

This last month I keep fluctuating between 204 and 210 lbs.

Although weight isnít coming down lately, my cardio conditioning and strength are definitely improving since last year.

I have a 10 mile standard route with 1,400í of hill climbing and no traffic signals or stop signs that I periodically use to test conditioning. A year ago my fastest time on this route was an hour and 10 minutes. Now I can cycle this circuit in 55 minutes.

I haven't been part of this group but am proud to report I have lost 30 lbs since April 1 (238 => 208). Heathly eating, cut out sugar, no grazing after 8:00PM, plenty of water, and a little more exercise .

The scale says 209 lbs today.

Still working to get my weight below 200, with a longer term goal of 180 lbs.

Awesome job timbervest. I am going to start following/participating in this thread. I started doing Noom recently. Not sure yet if it is worth the $$ but it has some good food psychology lessons which I think I need. I am counting down for retirement in 2023 and don't want to stress eat or mindlessly much. Weight today is 249.9 Ideally I would like to be around 170 but I am ok with very slow progression to get there as long as I don't go the other direction.

From my highest weight when I was working Iím down between 20-25 pounds. It simply depends on the day of the week where I fall in that range, as we tend to eat out more on weekends.

The elimination of stress from my w*rking life and the associated stress eating helped a lot. Being more active helped as well. I was too sedentary in my former w*rk life.

Retirement is good!
