30 lbs down. Nice job!
I’m about the same place ... started weight loss on May 1 and down a bunch since then. Currently fluctuating between 210 and 215 lbs with a goal to get to 180 by next July.

In a stalemate with the scale, it won’t budge off of 215 lbs.
And sadly as expected, due to the escalating COVID-19 situation, cyclocross bicycle races this weekend are cancelled. Was registered to race both Saturday and Sunday. Was looking forward to another test of my improved cardio and fitness against my racing buddies. That’ll have to wait until after the New Year.

213 lbs today.
Daughter is home on break from nursing school for the next few weeks so the fridge and pantry are stuffed with all her favorite foods and goodies. Trying to resist, but not always successful.

Began eating over a 4 hour period in Sept. Down 25 pounds.
Black coffee and water only the other non-sleeping hours.

Hardly ever post here. A few years ago had t make a significant diet (and exercise change) due to a type 2 diabetes diagnosis and have done well enough to stay off any drugs. A year ago I was down to 185+- a couple (from 215), and now I'm at 182+- a couple. Goal is to pretty much stay where I'm at; trying to shave off 5 or 10 more is possibly doable but would be pretty tough and the added stress would likely offset the benefit.

Got the scale to budge. Dropped to 210 lbs this week. Forty lbs down and 30 more to go by August 1, 2021.
Just got my race bike back together from her annual overhaul. Bearings, brake pads, rotors, wheels and other wear parts don’t last long when you are over 200 lbs. Test ride yesterday and a few adjustments last night and now she’s ready to go again.

G'morning all. I'm at 174.2 this a.m. That's down from 192 a while back (which is SERIOUSLY too heavy for a 5'9" guy), but I've been up and down the last few months. I figure maybe it's time for a bit of accountability. I hope you all are reaching and surpassing your weight-loss goals.

Well finally under 200 lbs again. Lost 36 lbs when retired 3 years ago, then gained 26 lbs back. Now lost net 28 lbs since retirement mainly due to playing Pickleball 6x weekly for 4 hours a day. Eating okay, but am doing better in 2021 so far.
Also the first time my Triglycerides/HDL ratio is under 2.0, as my HDL finally hit 50.

Was awesome to have the kids back home over the holidays, but all those good meals and awesome cookies my daughter makes bounced my weight up a couple pounds to 215.
Now I’m back to a healthier and limited diet and continuing with daily gym strength workouts and cardio sessions outside on my mountain bike.

I want to lose 20 pounds in 20 weeks. 1 lb a week should be doable. Just got done with 8 weeks in a recliner following foot surgery. Just starting to get active again, so the first 10 or 15 should go easily.

I thought I was adventurous night diving 53 miles off the coast of San Diego and skiing the moguls on the lower part of Heavenly Valley @ South Lake Tahoe.
After reading the above lists of adventure trips, that makes me look like a wuss.
Just take sure that you take care of yourself physically. My sister lived winters in Aspen and her best friend was a top ski instructor (to the stars.) She's 73 and suffering with a terrible back--from minor ski falls over the years.

Thanks. Yes there something magical on being under 200 again. Now just have to stay there. Ultimate goal is 190.

Scale says 210 lbs today. Down a pound this week.
Rumblings from our local bicycle race promoter is that we might actually have some races coming up in the next couple months. Probably will be time trial format where we are launched onto the race course a minute or two apart. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Any updates from my weight losing retirees out there?
Still fighting the scale and she doesn’t give up easily. Down 2 pounds in the last two weeks. Now at 208 lbs.

I weighed in at 181 a couple days ago, the morning after a good Racquetball workout the night before. Not really trying to lose weight, but I check in with the scale every now and then.
FIRE'd in Jan 2017, was probably around 2002, and within 8 months had lost almost 20 pounds. Had some other weird nuisance health issues going on that have since gone away, and thought something was seriously wrong (I am a cancer survivor also). But I had started hiking every day, and was up and about and active in my newfound retirement. I think my high was 206lbs, I am 6' 1"~2".
In the years since, I have dropped bit more weight, hiked 528 miles last year, goal is 550 miles in 2021. While I don't eat stupid, I am not on any kind of diet, trust me. I still enjoy a Wendy's double once a month or so. I have really gotten into cooking, grilled seafood and a nice chardonnay is my go-to. I have to say, I feel really good at this weight.
