Marrow Donation is on Again

I mentioned receiving a letter that the possible recipient would no longer need me.

It seems she didn't die, she changed hospitals/centers.

I got a phone call asking me if I still wanted to go through with it. I said yes and the needed new blood samples. Gave blood samples this morning.

I asked about my age. She said I am eligible 'til I turn 61.

So need to wait a month or so for results.

BTW: don't have AIDS, Hepatitis, or syphilis.

Here you are ladies and gentlemen...a woman with a compassionate heart, pristine blood runnin' through her veins and a pension (gotta mention the finances don't ya know). It just doesn't get much better than that.

I hope things go smoothly for you Khan.

Great news Khan, I know that you have been wanting to do this for quite a while now. Since you just had your 60th birthday it sounds like this year is your last year on the donor list so I really hope it goes through.

Khan, you are a person of few words and great actions. I admire that about you very much.

Lucky person to get Khan's marrow. And so glad to hear the patient is still with us!
