Maybe you're thinking of aspirin? To my knowledge, acetaminophen has neither property (NSAID or platelet inhibition). Then again patients occasionally use drugs for reasons other than the usual.

Patients do use drugs for many reasons other than the usual, hence my comment to HFWR...

I realize that acetaminophen is not a NSAID. But it doesn't work on headaches, either... YMMV

And there's really no good reason to mix the narcs with acetaminophen, particularly if one is also prescribing an NSAID to reduce inflammation.

don't they to that, mix nsaids with opiates, to try to reduce abuse?
