Should I break out my old Nikon F3?

Does Kodak make something that kills CV while causing safe weight loss?

Did Elon Musk make an offer to take Kodak private?

The President announced a deal either today or yesterday whereby Kodak would receive a bunch of money in order to start domestic production of goods for the pharmaceutical supply chain. The intent is to lessen US dependence on India and China where a large portion of our drugs are currently made.

Reducing the dependence is a good step in the right direction.

Kodak has been making fine chemicals for years and years. They even had a pharmaceutical business with drug chemists, molecular biologists, and the works.

This was posted recently claiming there was a big surge in Kodak stock volume prior to the announcement.

This link is to a reddit discussion with hundreds of comments. Was there one in particular that caught your eye?

It was mostly the chart (whose timing I have NOT personally verified) suggesting that some folks might have known and traded on the Kodak loan before it became public knowledge.

They mentioned it on CNBC yesterday, that the typical trading volume was around 100,000 shares but the day before the announcement, almost 1 million shares were traded. 10x the volume the day before a blank check is being written to them.. hmmm.

The stock volume surge was not a claim, it was real. Here the CEO gets to answer the question about how well the news was kept from the public.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/07/29/koda...announced.html

Something tells me this will be an item that keeps floating to the top of news headlines for a few months. Insider lists will be scrutinized, that's for sure.

I read a sarcastic comment that mentioned this is a perfect way to vacuum short money form all those Robinhood traders.

The CNBC article mentions specifics about trade volume.

"On Monday, prior to the announcement, 1,645,719 shares traded hands in the stock, far surpassing Friday’s 74,893 trades, and Thursday’s 80,840 trades."

That's about 22x increase in trade volume from the previous day. Everything is etched in bits, so it will get looked at very diligently by the SEC I guess.
