It is too late to jump into the FAANG stocks now, any idea who will be the next FAANG stock?

If I knew the answer to this question, I wouldn't post it here!

I'd charge you 2 & 20 for the privilege of my wisdom!

LOL

No one knows what will be, its just a guesstimate or speculation. That's what is this forum is about.
If you were a financial adviser, sure, charging people for your knowledge, but again, how many advisers got wrong.

20 years ago, no one anticipated Faang stocks become where they are now

If SpaceX spins off starlink, then buy that.

I believe those Hedge Fund fees are lower now. You need to stay competitive.:D

... any idea who will be the next FAANG stock?
Seriously? If anyone knew, which is highly unlikely, why would they tell you or anyone else?

Turn that coin over and think about all the people on the web making predictions, pontificating, selling newsletters, etc. If their predictions were any good, why would they be working? They wouldn't be. They would be beside the pool on their private yacht or on the beach at their private island, drinking from a glass garnished with an orchid.

And yet you are asking us to do so for the next batch?

Isn't this what the forum all about? Speculation, prediction, insights.....

It's ok if you don't know. Some people have better insights than others

Please identify one, with a multiyear documented track record showing all predictions made and actual results achieved.

The thread was meant for fun. Thought people would like the idea to pick stocks that they have bought or will buy. Never meant for people to go to the extreme to looking for "the one".
May be the thread name should be revised to "what stock do you buy today"

I totally agree with the sentiment, but the framing threw us off. What if you had said:

"I know this is all just idle speculation, but I have been trying to cogitate on what stocks will take off in the next 15 years? What do you think are the industries and/or companies that will really transform their sectors, and hence really take off as stocks? Think of the FAANG companies! 20 years ago no one knew what or who many of them were, and now they are the linchpins of the S&P 500! What do YOU think will strike it big in the next 15 years??"

See the difference?

A better approach is to pick the visionary behind the next company. For example, Steve Jobs was one who knew what the future would look like. The company created devices that enabled many to be part of the future before it happened.

Back in the day you would find Steve Jobs talking about the future at user events. He appeared in some of the magazines of the times, but news about Apple was eclipsed by many more-successful companies at the time. So you had to believe in what he said, and become part of the future by using the products.

Out there are more visionaries who will predict the future and take part in developing new products. You might get lucky and hear about about one or more in this part of social media.

I heard about a search engine that might do the trick. I think it was called Lougle.

I used the schematics from the Netflix series Dark and built a time machine.

I now am able to determine which are the next FAANG stocks but will have to keep it to myself.

Sorry.

Sorry.

I was going to do the same but my mom's daughter who is my grandmother told my aunt (who is also my niece) that it was a bad idea.

I read this whole thread and only ARK and Lougle were mentioned! What a waste of bandwidth!

Online shopping and takeout dinners, Streaming, delivery companies, AI, gaming, teleconferencing, RVs - all candidates for above normal growth? Some has already started since March.

I don't see any of those reaching the heights of FAANG. Of course, I missed out on Facebook, Netflix, Amazon, and Google, so what do I know? I recognized ahead of time that all of them (except Facebook) had major futures, but I thought they were all too expensive at IPO time. I've never understood Facebook's success, but I'm out on step on sharing my every movement with the world.

So what of those companies do you see as becoming a master of the universe? I see some of them as becoming decent investments, although as usual 4 out of 5 will fail. I haven't seen anything that I think has the possibility of that kind of success. Sure would like to. But in order to make it that far it has to be something everybody will use (like Google, Apple, and the others). I just don't see one.

I see TikToc and Zoom as ground-breaking and I am watching for the second one into each space. Like AAPL (Blackberry), Amazon (eBay), Facebook (MySpace), Google (many), ? (Netflix)....
