Cumulative inflation from 12.31.1999 thru June 2016 was 43.22%.

Do the above numbers include dividends reinvested? Makes a big difference. They must, because otherwise the Nasdaq wouldn't show that much gain. Dec 31, 1999 it was at 4069 versus 5228 yesterday. http://money.cnn.com/1999/12/31/mark...rkets_newyork/
