So we have decided to cruise the Amazon river next month with my two sons and our nanny. As we will be moving from Peru to the USA this year or next and thought our children should have the experience. We are looking at booking through Aqua Expeditions on the Aria Amazon.

Basically, have three questions for others as this will be our first cruise experience.

Have you used another ship like the Delfin II and would recommend it over the Aria Amazon?

We are thinking high water season over low water season as we can get deeper into the Jungle at the price of 25% more rain. Your thoughts?

We can do four nights for about $30,000.00 and a week is about $50,000.00. Is four nights enough, I am afraid we will get bored over a weeks time and we could spend the extra days in Iquitos?

Your help is appreciated!

Found this clip on Youtube about Aria Amazon, posted by the company no less:

Talk about tone deaf, looks to me like it's a "Poverty Porn" cruise.. not for me.

There are 5 people going. The poverty is no different than what you see in the Caribbean.
