Any Travel Plans for 2020?

Our family wants to travel to Europe in 2020. Do you have any good suggestions? Sincere thanks.

Transatlantic on celebrity edge followed by week in Italy. Riverboat cruise on Rhone river in June. Two weeks in Cancun in February.

watch Chevy Chase European vacation? :D

What do you like to do/see/eat? Is there anything that you thought to see "one day"? Eiffel's Tower? The Vatican, The swiss Alps, The Northern Lights. Belgian waffles in Belgium, English high tea

I was talking to MIL tonight about my trip to France in April. She was quizzing me. Then she says maybe I'll talk to my sister about a trip....

It will never happen. But if it did it would involve Business class, passports, scooters & wheelchairs. MIL is 88. Sister has had knee trouble. But it would be fun to see MIL in Europe

Going back to the Netherlands and then maybe a short bike and barge trip through France, Luxembourg and Germany. Planning on taking a cruise through Norway or Great Britain and the Orkney and Shetland islands if I don't have to schedule a shoulder replacement before then.

Cheers!

Tuesday started to tuneup for a fall walking/hiking trip to the Dolomites in Italy. We did a 9 mile with 3000 ft. elevation gain that top out at 8000 ft. Six hours including lunch at the top and Jasper was good the whole time.

Last year we spent 10 days in Barcelona, it is a great city to visit with lots to see. Also it is a jump off point for many cruise ships.
For many people 10 days might be too long.
So consider visiting Barcelona for a few days, then take a Mediterranean cruise from there.

The plan is to do the east coast in our truck and trailer next summer. We did a "Wild, Wild, West" trip this year. We will start in the Keys of Florida and work our way up North to Maine. We have found some ocean side campgrounds from various places. But any suggestions on campgrounds along the coast is welcome. We do have solar, so places with no hookups are OK.

Barcelona in March for our anniversary.
Quick trip to Naples FL for a wedding in January.

On October 25, I posted that we'd just be camping this year. Things change. Going to do an 8 day walk in Alsace with friends in the spring, then go to the Dordogne for several days. In the fall, a couple invited us to go to NYC, then take the train to Montreal and spend some time roaming around eastern Canada. I want to see PEI while we're "in the neighborhood."

It's funny....many people love P.E.I. My late wife, (one of her brothers raved about it), and I went "Meh" when we visited in 1997.

DW was there in 1978 and also went "Meh".

We all preferred N.S. and N.B. - as DW says "P.E.I. is like the Prairies with water".

If I had limited time, I'd spend it in Cape Breton.

Yes, P.E.I is flat. There's a reason it is the potato growing region for Canada.

Wow....how'd those potato farmers arrange that?

Going to Europe for a month in August. Going to Warsaw, Rybnik, Austria, Prague, Ireland and Scotland. Sup excited as the last time I was in Europe was 5 years ago. We have been talking about going to Ireland and Scotland for years and decided at 65 not getting any younger:))

Going to Arizona and New Mexico for 2 weeks in January.
Then to China for 2 weeks in April.
Wedding in North Dakota in June.
Fishing in Kentucky also in June.
Followed by Glacier, Banff, and Jasper Parks in Canada in July.
In September our Army reunion somewhere in the U. S. (site hasn't been announced yet.
Cruise around southern tip of South America in November.
Other than that we'll just stay home.

We may take our first cruise ever in 2020.

Nantucket again. We used to go there after Labor Day weekend every year, but got out of the habit about 10 years ago. We’re going again in 2020 no matter what, a beautiful place to us.
