DW and I heading to Missouri for around 12 days. We are scoping out possible future retirement spots. Anywhoo we will be in the Branson area for about 4 to 5 days with other relatives and 2 young children. Any suggestions or must sees for that area? I would imagine its hard to go wrong but you never know.

Thanks!

I thought "The Presley's Country Jubilee" was really good! Great family show....singing, comedy, etc. Also the "Baldknobbers Jamboree Show" was really good too....we saw them in Branson and in Springfield, IL.

Then there's all the standard fare.....Yakov Smirnoff, Shoji Tabuchi, etc. (BTW...I enjoyed both of those the times that I saw them.)

Something out of the ordinary, was the Dixie Stampede. You sit stadium-style, at looooong tables facing the arena, and the show is filled with folks on horseback.......it was a nice show, with good food, oodles of beautiful horses, and all the kids there really liked it!!!

You can find out about all the shows and lodging and all that at this website.

There's something there for everyone!

Sounds like a lot of cool things. Thanks Goonie. The two young ones would really enjoy the horse show.

Fun thing in Branson

My wife and I really enjoyed the Liverpool Legend show. George Harrison's sister started the show and did a fantastic job of making it like the original
"Beatles".

We are traveling to Branson in May. We have already gotten tickets for the Liverpool Legends show and the violinist that everybody raves about. It is good to hear about some of the other shows that people have seen. We were in Branson last year for only one night and did a magic show that was wonderful. We rode the old train out into the countryside which was a lot of fun. It takes you about twenty miles out into the beautiful Ozarks and then returns. The kids might like that also.

Buck Trent, good show, great banjo playing. Even my 18 yr old heavy metal drummer son got into it.
