Galveston for the weekend

This last weekend our family planned a vacation to Galveston . I know it is close and a touristy type city …but what a great time . Galveston really offers a lot from
NASA to the sidewalk art shows and cafe entertainment .
We decided to take one of the ghost walks ( not recommended for kids ) but it was a lot of fun . We never knew that at one time Galveston had cannibals . The part of the walk that talked about the storm of 1900 was really great . Some of the old mansions were under water . The houses that played the part in the civil war as hospitals . There is a block in the middle of Galveston where the remains of over 4000 people from the storm were buried . Also got to see the Robert Durst house .
But overall the food the beauty and the fun Galveston was really worth it for a weekend. Oh , we also got a job as a beach house watchers for travelers.
