Semester at Sea?

Years ago, I ran across someone (I don't even recall who or where) who was telling me about his wonderful experiences with Semester at Sea. Although not inexpensive, he was planning on going again. He attended as a lifelong learner, not a student.

I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience or has heard of someone who has gone (either as a student or as a lifelong learner)?

I have a fellow faculty member here at my university that has taught in the Semester at Sea program at least 6 or 7 times in his career. He loves it.

I was going to teach on that program, but something else came up. It sounds like fun!
