SW US in January

Looking for suggestions as to where to spend January in the SW US.
Looking for nice scenery, daytime temps in high 60s and low 70s, some moderately priced golf in the area.

Have you looked at Palm Springs or any of the other towns in the Coachella Valley?

Depends on what your idea of 'moderately priced golf' is and the type of golf courses you want to play. Most of the areas mentioned have several golf seasons where prices change during the year, peak rates are usually during January-March.

Do a few nights on the "River Walk" in San Antonio Texas. In all my travels, it was by far the best travel adventure for a couple like myself and my wife. We visited the area 15 years ago when we were aged forty-something.

Google it and look at the pictures... Beautiful features and atmosphere.
